It's time to find joy in life again

Hi I'm Sharon
I work with adults who have tried talk therapy yet feel something is missing. I know what it is like to think you have let go of the past, yet still feel triggered, still hypervigilant, still untrusting of others, and yet still feel like something is wrong with you.
As a trauma informed therapist, I use a holistic approach to work alongside you in finding the root causes of what you’re carrying. Gently exploring past experiences without needing to retell the painful details that have been holding you back from living authentically.
Through my professional training and lived experience I offer a calm space that is non-judgemental, empathetic, and compassionate, so that you can feel comfortable, safe, seen and understood.
I’m authentic, honest, occasionally swear, and I’m not afraid to share parts of my own journey when it’s relevant and supportive. Why? Because I’m human too and I’ve been where you are.
Each session commences with a warm welcome, general chit chat. Most clients are so busy they haven't had time to take a moment to themselves, so for me it's important that before we commence your session, we do a short grounding technique to bring some calmness and safety in the space for you. This helps just regulate your nervous system and allow to you take a moment to go aww that was nice.
The focus of the session is on emotions, limiting beliefs and what you're feeling in your body, a bit less talk therapy and more of a somatic approach.
After each session, I provide a recap of what we have worked on, emotions released, and tools to use in between sessions via email. I will even send you a follow up message the following day, just to check in on you.
Why? Because your healing is important to me. I know what it's like to go into a therapy session and walk out afterwards feeling worse than when I walked in and not have any tools or support to refer to.

I'm a wife, stepmother, stepsister, and an NPE. I'm caring, compassionate, and patient.
